  1. China holds trillions of US debt. Which it can sell and tank the dollar and raise the cost of US borrowing, and your taxes with it. China is not a democracy so it can withstand a recession that Trump cannot - not because his fawning sycophantic base will abandon him but because his donors will. China can allow its currency to fall to stay competitive. Every time Trump raises more tariffs, AMERICANS pay them!! Tariffs are import taxes that AMERICANS PAY, not the Chinese. He is hurting the American people to satisfy his own ego, to win a trade war that he started, but NO ONE wins a trade war like this. Everyone loses. In this case, America is losing more. But Trump doesn't care. Because he is a malignant narcissist, and, to him, the American people are nothing but a source of fawning adoration.

Female Power 2 "The US had too much geopolitical leverage" FTFY Right now, the US is up to its eyes in debt, it has rejected all its allies, it's completely isolated internationally because the current administration is seen as inept, corrupt and wreckless and its economy is about to take a nose dive. At the G7 this weekend, the other members are going to avoid Trump as much as possible because he just gets in the way. Meanwhile China has dozens of strategic allies across Asia and Africa and it holds the US debt like a ransom. Trump got the US into a war it didn't need to fight and cannot win. Because he is a malignant narcissist. Remember his words. "I am the chosen one!". Your leader is a dangerous conman, unhinged from reality.

"When we went to war because we were attacked by a country that wanted to invade us, we lost thousands of men and billions of dollars but we survived. Sooo, of course we should voluntarily jump into a lose-lose trade war that will pointlessly cost us billions of dollars and our international reputation relationships!" The US can't "win" this trade war. No one "wins" a trade war. Everyone loses. Trade is MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL. So when you slash trade, you lose your end of the benefits. It hurts you, short term and long term. There is a way to handle a powerful actor like China but it requires everyone to simultaneously put pressure on them to coerce a change in behaviour WITHOUT resorting to a trade war. But Trump can't do that because a) he doesn't have the skills, b) he doesn't have the patience and c) he doesn't understand international trade. FFS the guy is STILL lying that China pays American tariffs! His trade war is stupid, it's pointless and it's being done purely to satisfy the ego of a malignant narcissist who thinks he is a genius but is in fact a mentally ill fantasist with a cult of personality. He is a conman and I'm afraid he has conned you. You will realise this one day. Just like all the people who signed up to all his previous scams. Maybe today can be that day.
