@internetzenmaster8952 Only the Ukraine forces are dying in staggering numbers. The Russians have lost very few soldiers by comparison. Their strategy is the conservation of men, equipment and civilians. Ukraine's strategy is "throw everything at them come hell or high water," and consequently Ukraine loses enormous numbers of men and weaponry, thus their constant, belligerent screaming at NATO for more and more weapons. If Ukraine fielded every man, woman, and child in Ukraine, they couldn't outnumber just the number of trained soldiers that Russia has in the reserves.

@fatefinger Wtf are you talking about? Russia has more than 40 million trained soldiers in the reserves. 40 million. 300,000 is less than 1% of their reserve forces. Those aren't "warm bodies," they're men who have already had military experience. You aren't analyzing anything; you're talking out of that thing you're sitting on.

I don't know where you got the idea that Russia is fielding inexperienced boys, because they're calling up some of the reserves, trained men who already have military experience. And at that, it's less than 1% of the 40+ million soldiers in the Russian reserves. They don't need to call up inexperienced boys.

Maybe he's going on the assumption that when WE do it, it's ok, but not for anyone else. That song is getting pretty damn tired.

Ikr? Styx is talking out of his nether regions.

Wow, way to twist the facts! The deliberate massacre and deportation of children into Russia? The massacre was on the part of Ukraine forces, and the Russians rescued the children, taking them out of harm's way, out of the war zone. Children whose parents considered themselves Russian, and who endured eight years of bombing by Ukraine forces because of it.

You're a fine one to be pointing fingers at other people for swallowing propaganda. How's the Russian economic collapse that you all have been predicting since February?
1
Ask Biden and Boris Johnson. They stopped the agreement between Ukraine and Russia back in March. All of this should have been just a brief memory. Whatever Biden and Johnson said to Zelensky, he hasn't been willing to negotiate since then.

Putin has justification. The Russian-speaking part of Ukraine has been shelled constantly for the last eight freaking years by Ukraine. That's why the vote went so heavily for Russia. Would you want to be part of a country that destroyed your house, forcing you to live in your basement, and prevented your children from growing up in the free air for eight years? You would have to be nuts.

You're both full of bs.

@internetzenmaster8952 #1. It's Ukraine that's been shelling the Russian-speaking part of Ukraine for the last eight solid years, not Russia. Putin chose this point in time to make his move because Ukraine was stepping up its attacks. #2. Ukraine has lost 10 times more men and a mind-boggling amount of equipment, which is why Zelensky keeps screaching at NATO for more and more weapons and money, and the EU is now virtually demilitarized because they've sent everything decent to Ukraine. The US is pretty much in the same boat; the weapons we promised can't be delivered until 2024 because they haven't been manufactured yet, and nobody in the west has the manufacturing capability to crank this stuff out as fast as Ukraine demands it. #3. Think about this: the Russian military reserves number upward of 40 million. More than 40 million trained soldiers. They have more people in the reserves than Ukraine has population. Russia also is highly industrialized and makes more steel than it can use. It's a net exporter of steel. It can crank out weapons infinitely, unlike the west. Just ponder on those issues.
1
The Russian reserves number upward of 40 million trained personnel with military experience, more than the entire population of Ukraine. Also, while the west, including the US, has drained itself of most of its decent military equipment and weaponry, Russia is highly industrialized and can churn out steel as needed. They have the capacity to manufacture weapons and equipment ad infinitum. The US can't even deliver the lately promised weapons to Ukraine until 2024 because we can't get them any sooner.
1
The Russian government is only calling up reserves, who are trained soldiers that have already served before. They aren't calling up newbies, in spite of the crap you hear in the msm.
1
Russia never had a chance to win the information war IN THE WEST, where the msm twist everything to make Russia the bad guy, especially when it's Ukraine that's actually doing the dirty. However, in the rest of the world, the 80% non-western world, they're on Russia's side, while the west sinks lower and lower because we insist on doubling down on stupid.
