@richardsantanna5398 In the case of my sister (a Scientologist since 1985) I think it was too many drugs as a teenager and her overwhelming need to belong to just any group who would let her in. She had to stop getting clearing sessions when she owed $50,000 that she didn't have in 2005. She claimed that Scientology got her off drugs, but the price is everything you have.
