Someone noticed that when the Russians first left, nobody mentioned a massacre; it was only 2 or 3 days later that they filmed people lying in the street. This person also noticed that some of those people were moving. Just saying.

@scottbarrett4753 I have no idea what you just said, but it's well known that Russia has been buying many tons of gold for years in order to put the currency on the gold standard. Not a secret. People who analyze the gold market for a living have been openly discussing this since I started following the market around 2015.

The fact that up until now, at least for several decades, oil has been traded for in dollars. Once countries realize that they no longer have trade oil with dollars, we're screwed.

I would hold that thought, if I were you. #1. Every time Ukraine accuses Russia of killing civilians, it has turned out that it was actually Ukraine forces doing the killing. At least if you listen to the people who live there. #2. Nobody said anything about that massacre when the Russians left until several days later. Then they made a video of people lying in the street, but some of them were still moving. (Nothing to see here, move along.) #3. If you want Russia brought up on war crimes, there ought to be a very long list of countries ahead of them, including the US and Ukraine. We do this kind of thing all the time. Ukraine has been shelling the eastern part of their own country for the past 8 years! Why do you think that Putin is occupying Donbas? Because they voted to go with Russia in 2014 and Ukraine refused; Ukraine would rather kill them all. Putin's stated goal at the peace talks is the liberation of Donbas.

That isn't what he's doing. NPR should look at a map. Putin is only occupying Donbas - you know, the Russian-speaking part of Ukraine that Ukraine forces have been shelling for the last eight freaking years. Putin hasn't made a secret of his goal to liberate Donbas, which Donbas wanted in 2014, but Ukraine refused. Ukraine preferred to try to kill them off, instead.

@matsv201 Afghanistan is mountainous and full of caves, and that's why it's hard to fight there. Geez, political analysts have been talking about that at least since I was a child in the 1970s.

@enol8603 Ukraine has been shelling Donbas for 8 solid years. There are French news clips still on YouTube about it from as long as 7 years ago. Young children there have lived in their basement for their entire lives, and have never played outside because it's too dangerous.

Putin's goal wasn't occupying Ukraine. He said as much, and if you look at a map, you can see clearly that he's occupying Donbas, which Ukraine has been shelling for the last eight freaking years. Young children there have lived their entire lives in the basement and don't know what it's like to play outside because it's too dangerous. The Donbas wanted to go with Russia, but Ukraine refused, so Ukraine forces have been bombing them, kidnapping and torturing them, for 8 years. Ukraine is on the side of the devil.

No. Styx has a cob up his ass about Russia like he does about Bush. He even blames Bush for Katrina, even though it was the Democrat governor who squandered the funds for flood control and refused help from the National Guard, and the Democrat mayor who prevented people from evacuating. Styx gets that cob stuck and no amount of common sense gets through.

There are Americans on the ground in Ukraine who say that it's Ukraine forces doing the killing. The people who live there also say so.

@libertatemadvocatus1797 I guarantee you that if Russia didn't have the equipment, then Putin wouldn't have started this conflict. You sound like the people who thought that the Russians would be starving by now, totally ignorant of the fact that Putin has worked since 2012 to make Russia self-sufficient and highly industrialized. He's put in more forethought than any other 10 heads of state are capable of doing.

That's just deflection on the part of the US, since Biden has been controlling the government of Ukraine since 2013, according to Hunter's emails and Biden's bragging. Putin's goal, both stated and obvious, is the liberation of Donbas, the Russian-speaking part of Ukraine that voted to go with Russia back in 2014. Ukraine refused and instead has been shelling Donbas for the last eight years. Instead of letting them go, Ukraine would rather kill them all. Look at map and see where the Russian troops are; Donbas. The liberation of Donbas is a clearly stated objective in the peace talks. Ask yourself why Ukraine would rather kill the population of Donbas than let that tiny sliver have their freedom? Also why doesn't the US or EU ever mention it? The UN mentions it. Humanitarian groups mention it. European media organizations mention it. India media mention it.

Sweet Jesus, if you think that Ukraine is independent, you haven't been paying the smallest amount of attention. #1. NATO's presence automatically precludes Ukraine's independence. #2. Hunter Biden's laptop emails prove that Biden has been running Ukraine since at least 2013. Biden has also made public statements bragging about how he tells the Ukraine leadership exactly what to do. Hunter's emails make clear in much greater detail how his father controls the Ukraine government. Why do you think that Hunter was embedded in Ukraine even though he isn't even remotely qualified? Because he's Biden's man on the ground.
