@demodiums7216 I live in corn growing country. Working in the corn fields used to be a great summer job for high school and college kids. It paid really well. Then suddenly the farmers started hiring all Mexicans to do that work and Americans couldn't get hired. The Workforce Center told my son not to even bother applying because only foreigners could get hired. That was in the 1990s.

Not just illegal aliens, but trafficked children. There's a word for forcing children to work, especially when they have no family members around. But yt deletes my comments when I use the s word.
