The agents weren't authorized to take them, so the FBI agents stole them imo. They took them contrary to the limitations of the search warrant. So since the government didn't give them authorization, then they did it against the law. If FBI agents just walked up to you and without authorization took your passport out of your pocket, would that be legal in your estimation? As far as I know, a badge doesn't give the FBI carte blanche to do whatever they feel like doing.

Except that it WASN'T mentioned in the search warrant. The FBI agents had zero authority to take them. That's why they told Trump that he could pick them up the very day after they verified that the passports were in the FBI's possession. You really should pay attention more.

They gave them right back, as soon as it was verified that they had them in their possession. Pay attention. Too bad you're so eager to look stupid.

Accountability for what? Years ago, Judicial Watch took Bill Clinton to court over classified documents that he had in his possession after he left office. The court ruled that anything that a former president has in his possession is presumed declassified by default. And since all of that stuff has to be presumed to be declassified, he can do anything he wants with it. He could have it printed in the New York Times or published on the internet, if he chooses.

One was expired, and one was his diplomatic passport. I believe the third was a foreign passport. They took the passports without authorization. Passports weren't mentioned in the search warrant. That's why they said that Trump could pick them up the very day after they verified that the passports were in the FBI's possession. Doesn't anyone pay attention?

It turned out that they weren't authorized to take the passports, so the FBI agents who did it stole them, imo. That's why they said that he could pick them up the very day after they discovered that it was true. Of course, they took them in Florida, and told Trump that he could pick them up at the Washington, DC field office, a thousand miles away. Naturally.

@SenorJuan2023 Not a traitor. In fact, the FBI had no cause to raid his home. Years ago, Judicial Watch took Bill Clinton to court over classified documents that he had in his possession after he left office. The court ruled that anything in the hands of a former president is presumed declassified by default. And declassified documents can be given to anyone. Trump could publish them verbatim on the internet if he chose.

They had to know that it was bs, because the courts decided in a Bill Clinton case that whatever was in the hands of an ex-president is presumed to be declassified by default. That was a case where Judicial Watch took Bill Clinton to court over classified documents that he had in his possession after he left office.
