  1. ​ @erikrichardgregory It's correct, when you include state and local government employees. Try googling government employees state county. Federal comes up as a default, but "state" and "county" will include those, too.

  2. There's 1 government employee for every 6 private sector workers. Government jobs now pay more than the private sector; in California, government job salaries are double salaries in the private sector. So, it takes about 33% of every private sector salary to pay for government employees. Makes my hair stand on end.
