  2. I agree on the jeans. I buy Lee's jeans almost exclusively, on sale, about $20-25/pair. I don't know what this lady does to her jeans to get holes in them after a year, but I don't have that problem. I need air conditioning, though. I live in an area that gets to over 100° in the summer, and it was a swamp here 200 years ago and is still extremely humid. Huge underground aquafers. I find the 24-hour sauna effect to be miserable.

  4. Different people have different goals. For some people, they have enormous student loans to repay. Some people are frugal in order to save for retirement. Some people are frugal so that they can afford a great vacation every so often. And for some people, being frugal is a necessity, not an option.

  5. The local shelter no longer takes donations of goods, only money. People should check before they decide to do that.

  6. If you decide to do that, first check the regulations where you live. Some areas require that the room you rent has an outside door of its own, for example.
