  3.  @Out-tha-mud-  According to Reuters, Russian inflation is down now to 14% due to cuts in the key interest rate. Funny how our Fed thinks that RAISING the interest rates will curb inflation, as if making everything more expensive will reduce inflation.

  4.  @Out-tha-mud-  By the way, if inflation were figured the honest way with the pre-1980 method, the US inflation rate is actually about 17% now. The stats the government puts out are useless. The government stopped counting food and fuel in the stats when Obama became president, so imagine adding those back into the formula and see what you get. American arrogance isn't justified. I'm not happy about this since I live in the midwest and subject to all the problems that are coming our way, but facts are facts.
