  1. Russia today is what I wish the US was like. The huge middle part of the US is much like modern Russia, but the big cities are horrific. We have nothing good to offer that you can't find in Russia, and you aren't as likely to be robbed on the street.

  2. Years ago, I saw an interview that was done for the special features for the DVD of the movie To the Manner Born, the 25th Anniversary. Due to oppressive EU regulations, farms were disappearing all over the UK, the fishing industry was effectively gone, farmers were committing suicide. The life of rural England was being destroyed. That was a big theme of the movie, as well.

  3. As I understand it, most countries want to be in the EU because the EU has been draining Germany in order to hand out money to the other EU countries. That situation is about to end because Germany is impoverishing themselves.

  4. I agree. The EU wants to make war on Russia; it's against Russia's best interests to supply the EU with anything. I don't know why they even consider doing so. The EU won't thank them for it; they'll just turn around and kick Russia in the face for it. The EU will see it as weakness and foolishness, no matter what the rhetoric is now.
