  1. If this doesn't blow over, it'll only be because he crossed somebody more powerful, or in some way became a threat. There was talk of him running for president; maybe the word went around to make sure that wouldn't happen. Kamala Harris wouldn't stand for it, I believe. She's got the White House now (with a very good chance at the presidency in a year or so) and I don't see her quietly letting a competitor kicking her out.

  2.  @bluebird3281  I wonder if Kamala Harris has anything to do with it. She has a good chance of becoming president in a year or so; Cuomo posed a real threat to her in the 2024 election.
