My sister and her husband moved from Tacoma to Minnesota for retirement. He had never experienced snow that was more than a dusting. That lasted one winter, then they got divorced and he moved south. I had warned her it was a terrible idea, but she didn't listen to me. When it was still snowing in May, even she was sick of it.

@Tom Wrong. That may have been true 40 years ago, but not any more. 64% of California residents were born there, more than most other states. You're batting a big fat zero, buddy. The virus has a 99.96% survival rate. The average age of a covid death is 82, higher than the average life expectancy. If it weren't covid, it would be something else for the very elderly. I'm 66. I take zinc and megadoses of vitamin D3 for my immune system. I just went to the store in my college town, crowded on the day before Thanksgiving. I'm not hiding.
