  1. It used to be that they would pick up our garbage beside the house, but even in small towns, they don't do that anymore. It saves a lot of their time. I miss it, though. And it's hard for the elderly to take their garbage down to the curb.

  3. I have been reading comments on several Russian channels and I am affected by how polite Russians are to each other compared to westerners. I have never yet seen a Russian be rude to another Russian, but it's quite common for westerners to be rude and mean to anyone. It doesn't speak well of us westerners.
