Since I was a kid, I was taught that using a lot of gestures was low class - really undesirable. I'm really not sure what to do with the information in this video.

She talks too fast.

No, it doesn't. My husband's grandmother had a very mean resting b face, but she was actually a very sweet person. That's what made me train my resting face not to have a downturned mouth.

I'm not Asian, but I have the same problem. I was always taught that using hand gestures was low class, just not done in polite society.

Just to add, the touching and reaching are especially frowned on. I've tried it and people actually recoil from me.

Your resting face is learned. It can be unlearned, that is, retrained.

California. It must be. This woman even repeated the same line that Meghan Markle said when she joined the British royal family - "I'm a hugger, I'm going to hug you" while putting someone in a bear hug. She said that's what they do in California. That explains Meghan Markle! So cringe. I have to wonder how much of her advice is specific to California, all of that touching and reaching (bridging). It certainly wouldn't go well where I live in the midwest.

The resting B face? You can train yourself to hold your face differently. I did it. It might take awhile, but you'll eventually do it. I started paying attention to my resting expression when I saw photos of my husband's grandmother; she looked like she could bite someone's head off, yet she was the sweetest person. I decided that I didn't want that to be my default expression! I learned to have a very slight smile as my resting face. During political campaign seasons, I sometimes revert, so I have to teach myself all over again.

Not even remotely. This is all very complex for people who need the information. Obviously you don't need the information, so you don't need it explained.

How does it take up room on your ipad? Your list is stored on youtube cyberspace, not your device.

It could just be your personality type. I'm an INTJ by the Meyers Briggs typology. I thought for years that I might be autistic, but it turns out that I'm straight up a stereotypical INTJ.
