  1. I agree. I don't think the difference was very great. Mostly, it was putting color on her cheeks and lips, making her look not so pale, and combing her hair in an attractive way. I would have like to see her before without makeup, but with her hair and expression the same. I don't think there would be that much difference.

  2.  @livinlicious  No, that's fantasy thinking. I'm 65, and I can tell you that you don't have total control over the world. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, dude. Edit: in fact, you don't have much control at all. You have a little bit of control. IF circumstances aline , IF your good decisions turn out to be lucky and the world cooperates, IF your health stays good, and IF you and you family avoid making seriously bad or unfortunate decisions, then good for you, but often life, or your unlucky decisions, or your spouse/children/family make some really life altering mistake that will plunge you into serious hardship or even a hell on earth without consulting your wishes about it at all.

  4. No, it isn't. Mostly it was just putting color on her cheeks and lips, making her face look not so pale. She would look like that after a few minutes out in the winter air. She combed her hair in an attractive way and smiled, that's all. She already has good skin.

  5. Making an offhand invitation to have coffee or lunch is also very common in America. You can tell if it's insincere by how they run off right afterward and don't make a definite arrangement. Unless you run into that person by accident, you'll probably never see them again.
