  1. Seriously? They don't have to sell stock to crash the market. All the Fed has to do is make some announcement that investors don't like. The investors dump their investments and tank the market.

  2. It isn't. The Fed was created to control inflation, supposedly, but inflation was minuscule until they got their hands on the money supply. It was like putting a six year old child in charge of a candy store.
