  3. Such an elegant shopping mall! Can you imagine paying $200 for a fragile glass ornament? We use plastic ornaments on our tree because we have four cats. 🐾🐾🐾🐾🎄🐾🐾🐾🐾 Thankfully, many plastic ornaments now look so much like the glass versions that it's hard to tell the difference on the tree. I still prefer glass ornaments, but I have to hang them from our little chandelier instead of on the tree.

  7. Regarding sugar cubes: I kept them on hand for when my children got hiccups. Sugar relaxes the stomach muscles and cures hiccups. My mother used to give me soft peppermint candy when I was sick with a stomach bug for the same reason. When my cat had stomach problems, I gave him a teaspoon of water with a bit of sugar mixed in and it worked.

  8. ​ @paulsonjeff It's not a conspiracy, it's demonstrably true. It was the death of mall life even in Des Moines, Iowa. Gangs roaming the malls scaring away actual shoppers. I was confronted myself outside one of the biggest malls. I was waiting for my husband to pick me up; they hung around me until I mentioned that my husband was coming in from the gun show. They scattered at that.

  10. ​ @jerrylee4485 Not true. The problem started with Britain joining the EU, when Brussels started repressing British agriculture and fishing. Brussels eventually destroyed British farming and the fishing industry. They didn't allow British-grown produce in the market because of the severely restrictive regulations, and they gave the fishing rights to other countries in preference to the native British fishermen. Thousands of British farmers committed suicide because their way of life was destroyed. The damage isn't going to be repaired in just a couple of years.

I haven't yet seen a Russian vlog that ahows Russian supermarkets or grocery stores struggling, whether it's a village near Moscow, the city of St. Petersburg, or a town in Siberia. Foreign supermarkets that are preparing to close are naturally selling out their stock and not restocking, and THOSE are the places that some people are filming to cry about. You have to pay attention to what they're filming. Those people do it because then people send them money; they're grifters. #2. Also, check out Patrick Lancaster, an American in Mariupol. The locals say it's Ukrainian forces starving them (and destroying their homes), and if not for Russian soldiers giving them food, they would starve to death.

Many of those children, at least the survivors, have spent their lives in the basement of their homes. They've never been able to play outside because it's too dangerous. That's Ukraine doing that.   16. That's the whole point of showing this supermarket. The sanctions were supposed to destroy the Russian economy, but they've had very little effect because Russia is self-sufficient in almost every category. Many Americans, especially, still think of Russia in terms of the 1970s - so outdated.

They are now almost entirely self-sufficient, and even a net exporter of food, fuel, crop fertilizer, wood, steel, and other products. They manufacture their own farm equipment and cars. What they don't produce, they can buy next door. You remember China, right? Where Americans buy almost everything we use?

  23. Imo, shopping malls who don't offer benches for sitting are missing a trick. It just makes me go home sooner, whereas if I could just sit and rest a few minutes, then I could keep going for another hour or two. The shopping malls in Las Vegas didn't have anywhere to sit either, when I was there, and it was an exercise in endurance.

Under Putin's domestic policies, Russia manufactures almost everything, and now there are increased government incentives for entrepreneurs. Btw, almost everything Americans use is made in China, so I had to laugh at your criticism. Also, nobody would DARE threaten China for exactly that reason. China even makes most of our pharmaceuticals and electronics. They control a huge amount of the rare minerals that we need for batteries and electronics. They know it, too. They've said so out loud. China has us in a headlock.

  36. It's so true! That's one reason why I'm glad that here in America we have Thanksgiving, then Christmas, then New Year to look forward to, as well. It's too sad when the holiday is over and all of the celebration is over. Everything seems so drab afterward.

  43. You know that there are tourists other than western who go to Russia, right? Besides which, Russia doesn't depend on tourism. In 2017, tourism represented only 3.8% of their gdp. Say that half of that was westerners, that's less than 2%. I don't know if it's occurred to you, either, but it could be that a lot of Russians no longer want to do a lot of shopping at foreign retailers. It's more patriotic to patronize Russian retailers.

  47. Unlike the US, Russia doesn't need to import its own food. There are things they do import, like tropical fruit, but they don't need to. We in the US import 20% of our vegetables and 80% of our fruit, so we're in a far more vulnerable position.

  48. Russia insists that people who emigrate have to support themselves. No freebies. They also have to follow all of the laws. No exceptions. Also, it's freaking cold; people of color didn't immigrate to Scandinavia much, either, until they found out how much free stuff they could get as "refugees." Just to say, the Norwegian government, until very, very recently, was notoriously oppressive even to the Sami, an indigenous population that were forced by law to adopt every aspect of Norwegian culture and were forbidden to speak their own language. Yourway2norway did a video on it (he is Sami). By the way, Siberia, eastern Russia, has many people of Mongolian ethnicity.

  50. Every country tweaks its burgers to suit local tastes. Even McDonald's is different depending on what country you're in. French McDonald's is different from Japanese which is different from Pakistani McDonald's which is different from Indian McDonald's.
