Russia is food self-sufficient. They are a net exporter of food.

@carlapraught4922 In the United States, there are many places, even entire states, where it's illegal to grow your own food. Homes & Gardens and Civil Eats have articles online that came up on the first page of Google results.

Unlike the US, Russia doesn't need to import its own food. There are things they do import, like tropical fruit, but they don't need to. We in the US import 20% of our vegetables and 80% of our fruit, so we're in a far more vulnerable position.

Most Americans, and Europeans as well, also seem to think that Russians as a whole are destitute and always on the brink of starvation. Well, surprise! And yet many still maintain that it's true, in spite of all evidence to the contrary.

Why are you defending Joe Biden? Ukraine is his cash cow, he's been milking it for $millions. That's the only reason he cares. If you cared about the Ukrainian people, you would have been concerned about how the Ukraine government has been shelling Donbass for the past 8 years. Many people have had to live in their basements for years because their homes were destroyed or too dangerous above ground. The locals say that they would have starved except for the food they received from the Russians. Why has the Ukraine government been shelling them? Because they voted to go with Russia. So instead of letting them go with Russia, Ukraine decided to kill them.

And YOU have not paid one iota of attention to what Ukraine has been doing to Donbass for the past eight years. Donbass voted to go with Russia. Instead of letting them, the government of Ukraine chose to kill them. The government of Ukraine has been shelling Donbass for the past eight solid years. Even now, according to the locals, Ukraine continues to bomb them but the government blames it on the Russians. Those poor people; many have been living in their basements for years because either their homes are destroyed or it's too dangerous to live above ground. They say that they would have starved if not for Russians giving them food. Take care whose side you're on; if anyone is righteous in this case, it's Russia.
