Nine rubles for the bread? That's about 11 cents in the US. Bread hasn't been that cheap here for 50 years, maybe more.

It looks like so much fun!

Regarding sugar cubes: I kept them on hand for when my children got hiccups. Sugar relaxes the stomach muscles and cures hiccups. My mother used to give me soft peppermint candy when I was sick with a stomach bug for the same reason. When my cat had stomach problems, I gave him a teaspoon of water with a bit of sugar mixed in and it worked.

As far as any accusations by the EU and the Democrats are concerned, as J.D. Vance said, I don't really care, Margaret!

The brands that left merely opened up opportunities for Russian entrepreneurs. I read that the government is offering big incentives for people who want to start their own business.

For practically my whole life, as soon as I find a great product, the company discontinues it! So I have very little brand loyalty; I change brands whenever someone comes out with a good product.

Thanks!

Russia is food self-sufficient. They are a net exporter of food.

@bcool9104 Why do you think that only McDonald's has ordering software? What a strange idea.

You know that there are tourists other than western who go to Russia, right? Besides which, Russia doesn't depend on tourism. In 2017, tourism represented only 3.8% of their gdp. Say that half of that was westerners, that's less than 2%. I don't know if it's occurred to you, either, but it could be that a lot of Russians no longer want to do a lot of shopping at foreign retailers. It's more patriotic to patronize Russian retailers.

We're in the middle of watermelon season where I live, too, but we only have red watermelons. Still yummy!

I just found a video that was shot in the Vegas mall last August, and it was no busier. Really, not at all. So I doubt that sanctions had anything to do with it.

Much love from America. Your posts are the foundation of truth between us. ❤

I don't know where you live that your shopping malls are always crowded, but where I live (small midwestern university town) this mall looks crowded by comparison. My local mall is the only place to buy midrange priced clothes, so anyone who wants to go shopping goes to the mall. The only time it looks this crowded is right before Christmas, even during the school year when the students are here.

We used to go to the local mall on Sundays here in the midwest for fun before the stock market crash in 2008. Lots of stores closed. A couple of the big anchor stores folded; there's one left. Before the crash, the mall had plans to expand and renovate. They even posted the plans for the public to see. That went away. The mall is still there, but now the stores are geared for college kids, mostly.

What are you talking about? He said that it's now Russian owned, so it has nothing to do with the German company now.

Is Neiman Marcus a punch in the face to poor Americans? Porsche? Rolex? Who do you think you're kidding?

Malls where I lived always looked like this, even back in their heyday in the 80s, especially the middle of the day, except at Christmas time. The middle of the day was the best time to shop.

@Superfandangoo Russia is one of the breadbaskets of the world. They also supply (pre-sanction) a large amount of the world's crop fertilizers. They're going to have a surplus now that they aren't shipping to the west. We're the ones who will suffer from the sanctions. American farmers bought 96% of their potassium fertilizer from Russia last year, plus a huge amount of other fertilizers. Now we're going to be competing for whatever fertilizer is available from somewhere else at massively increased prices. Biden already stated that the sanctions will cause us widespread hunger, or didn't you listen? Russia is almost entirely self-sufficient; they'll be fine. We won't.

Don't be so lazy. He has lots of videos about that.

Putin's domestic policies have made Russia almost entirely self-sufficient. What they can't produce at the moment they can buy from China. We're in a much worse place than Russia since almost every manufactured product we use is imported, mainly from China.

Income tax on Russian residents is 13% but there are exemptions and deductions. On income over 5 million rubles, it's 15%.

The reviews are very good. The only bad reviews I saw were from Russians who were upset at the overzealous security guards.

The USSR no longer exists.

Most Americans, and Europeans as well, also seem to think that Russians as a whole are destitute and always on the brink of starvation. Well, surprise! And yet many still maintain that it's true, in spite of all evidence to the contrary.

King Charles bathed in blood, with a monarch butterfly (MK Ultra symbol). Considering Charles' dubious associations (WEF, Jimmy Saville, etc.) this is an interesting statement.
2
Do you really believe that garbage? Putin and Russia are on the righteous side of this. Check out The Duran, Tulsi Gabbard, Renaissance Horizon, and Patrick Lancaster for some home truths. We, the west, and Ukraine, are totally in the wrong here.
2
No, actually, it isn't a sign of things to come. Russian companies are starting to step in and take the place of those western companies, and that will keep more Russian money in Russia for a long time to come. That's a good thing. Europe needs Russian natural gas, and they just agreed to pay for it in rubles. The Russian ruble gets stronger and stronger. You should listen to something besides the msm echo chamber, which does nothing but spew nonsense for views.

Every country should use ideas as suits them. Burgers are now worldwide fare, not just western. India, Japan, Pakistan, etc., all have burgers.

Thanks!

They pay a 13 percent flat income tax rate. There is only federal income tax, no provincial or regional income tax.
