@inquisitivemind007 Tabari is not rejecting the other reading.🫠 He is rejecting the translation of the other reading. He affirms the reading. He believes a different sound of a letter shouldn’t result in a different translation. Tabari accepts different readings. If two people in the English language pronounce the same letters. The other person will take it as another word while it’s the same word. It’s also a fallacy that each difference in wording must be translated in different meaning. Tabari holds to this position. Different readings has nothing to do with preservation. These are two complete separate topics. Preservation is based on chains of transmission.

@inquisitivemind007 The problem with the bible are not various readings. The problem with the bible are problems in the transmission. They don’t even have a verification method to know if someone really said something. That’s why you see complete chapters and verses added, removed. It’s Christians who claim that the bible is transmitted textually. If there are huge differences in text. We can simply say that the bible is corrupted.

The logical contradiction is when you claim each person is fully god. They are not eachother. There is only one god. That’s a logical contradiction. That’s the issue.
