  101.  @CosmicalChrist  Why is that ridiculous? You don’t believe god is one by necessity? You don’t believe God is the necessary being? You can count however you want. You have no logical justification to do that. That’s all we are pointing out. You are forced to do this special pleading. If we count by identity there are three gods. You can at least admit this. You can say that the trinity is three gods if you count by identity. You can continue to say that you don’t count by identity because you believe this is revealed to you. That would be a sincere answer. Don’t pretend others have no logical argument against your doctrines. Your second question is a good question. You are presupposing that time and eternality are the opposite. ‘Eternality means timeless.’ I reject this false presupposition. I believe time is an attribute of god. I don’t believe in a frozen god who can’t do anything. I believe in a god who can act in succession. People who hold to the position that god is timeless claim that god can’t act in succession. They believe he has only one divine act. When the bible says that god created the universe in six days. They do a reinterpretation of these verse. They say that god didn’t really create in six days. When the bible says that god spoke on certain days to prophets. These people claim that god didn’t really speak to prophets on these days. The same people try to argue that god incarnated in time. Christians have different positions in these topics. Muslims have different positions. Every religion has discussions how god is related to creation or how god is not related to creation.
