@dr.mund0339 obviously you have no idea what happens to the human body when going through pregnancy. According to you, my wife should've died when she had pre-eclampsia and had to give birth to a stillborn because she actually had to get an abortion. What happened to you early in life that made you this way?

@dr.mund0339 my wife doesn't have to be the norm in that situation. When late term abortions are performed, situations like mine are the reasons why. Nobody, nobody at all waits that long before deciding to abort. So the whole strawman argument is actually coming from you.

So obviously what needs to happen now is to have mandatory vasectomies for males 15 and up. Then when it's proven they are ready to support a family, if approved, can then get it reversed.

@dr.mund0339 ok, fair enough. You're right, rare cases should not influence law, and they don't. But rare case or not, the choice should still be between a woman, her doctor, and if she believes, her god.

@missc3638 which states allow abortion in the ninth month just because? When late term abortions are done, they are because the life of the mother is in danger. But you're trying to make the argument that somebody just wakes up in their ninth month and decides to get an abortion.

@dr.mund0339 sigh ok, let's try this again. The vast, vast majority of abortions happen before viability, so you have no say in that anyway (not like you have any say to begin with but whatever). In the rare cases of late term abortions, they are having to do with problems in the pregnancy, like my case. So you have no say in those cases either. So what is your point?

But since a vasectomy is an operation that doesn't kill, you should be all for it. I'm not going to sit here and pretend to know why you're more in favor of an operation that does kill, than an operation that doesnt.

@sarahhumphreys3980 why not though? This makes sure that unplanned pregnancies are kept to a minimum, while at the same time not causing death. 2 things you are apparently in favor of correct? Nobody was forcing anybody to get an abortion, so how does this differ?
