  1. The second civilian police department I served in went from a power blue shirt, dark blue pants with a light blue strip down the leg to all black. I didn't feel the need to look tactical. I already did my Army thing. I wanted to look like a Servant Of The People. Like a "Peace Officer". Not a "Law Enforcement Officer". So I went back to college and got a Nursing Degree. Much more enjoyable and no Racist partners.
