  1. I’ve said it a hundred times; cops need batons. At least a small, collapsible one. Back in the day, all we had was a gun and a stick. And that stick saved a lot of lives on both sides of the law.

  3. I sympathize but not with the number of shots fired. That’s a red herring. Cops are taught to continue firing until the threat is eliminated. You should instead focus on WHY he fired at all. Was his life in danger. Should he have been in that backseat. It seems unprofessional to me. I haven’t heard that the officer was aware of the firearm but a stolen vehicle is always a dangerous arrest. We carried batons for less lethal apprehensions.
