  13. I joined the Army in 1974 at 17 years old. I wasn't sent to Vietnam despite volunteering. But serving in West Germany I did learn to despise and distrust Russian leadership. Murdering Monster Putin is doing nothing to change my mind. Trump wants to be a Filthy Dictator, but we're getting rid of him.

  22. In the early 1970s the Marine Corp didn't have a Military Police school so they trained with us in the Army. Great American Patriots. We exchanged tales of Basic Training vs Boot Camp. I remember thinking that Marine training sounded maybe 10% harder, physically, than we were subjected to but the psychological pressure sounded literally inhuman. Drill Sergeants warned us we were being prepared to survive in a North Vietnamese prison camp. That's from half century ago.

  33. In 1975 the Army knew they could not win a tank war with the Soviets. They were not going to fight one. If they had moved West, all Soviet tanks would have been obliterated immediately. By whatever means necessary. It would have happened. It would have been terrible for everyone. I would have been vaporized moments after realizing there was a problem.
