If it's remotely controlled it not a robot, it's a drone, and nothing new except it's civilian law enforcement employing them rather than the military. An entrenched gunman can harm a lot of people. Why not take him out with a drone? Seems like a really good idea to me. An autonomous machine with the authority to use deadly force is not close to being on our streets, nor should it be.
