@djibrilr6s The problem with devoutly muslim countries is that Islam is basically a 7th century medieval, desert culture. When you try to reimpose 7th century culture and values in the 21st century, your country ends up looking like its stuck in the 7th century in all aspects, including economic, cultural, architectural, social etc.

@nisrmasry8812 Islam was modern and progressive for 7th century standards. The problem is that they've clung to those 7th century sharia laws. Treating non muslims as dhimmis and beheading apostates is never going to work in the 21st century. This is why the middle east is not capable of any technological achievement or progress. The few oil rich small population countries are lucky, otherwise they would be like the rest of the countries.

@SinanEbrahim47 Yes that is only the oil rich countries. If you add oil rich Islamic countries with no oil Islamic countries, and average them out, they are below average compared to World Average.

@SinanEbrahim47 Turkey has very low wages. Turkey is considered poor country by Western standards. Malaysia is still better.
