No money for seeds or pesticides. No foreign investment from the outside. Completely worthless currency that nobody wants to accept on the World market. The government took the big business away from people and implemented price controls so those businesses just closed down instead. Not everyone has a big space of land for farming and not everyone wants to be a farmer or can be a farmer.
