  2. The only country that has ever Invoked article 5 is the US. Perhaps you should show some gratitude. And as a member of NATO the US has treaty obligations to help other members if article 5 is invoked again.

  3. ​ @Stonecold71 False. The US invoked article 5 because they wanted their NATO partners to help. No doubt the US could have gone it alone. But it is a fact that they chose not to. All other NATO members fulfilled their treaty obligations. Hundreds of European soldiers died fighting. At the very least you should acknowledge this fact and show some respect for their sacrifices.

  5. ​ @Stonecold71 Europe fought to help the US. Russia is the US' most dangerous enemy and has had hundreds of nukes aimed at you for decades. I did not suggest the US fight if Europe does not. That's a straw man you invented. The US should support Ukraine for two main reasons. It's in your own interests to do so and you should support your NATO allies because Russia is as much an existential threat to them as it is to you. Abandoning Ukraine weakens your NATO allies and it weakens the US.
