@sinoroman Russia will be defeated militarily and economically long before that. They are toast.

Just saw Sonnenberg being interviewed on DW and they cut him off before he could spell out his findings. So it's good to see you making this information available.
19
@SnoopyDoo Not even 10% of the weapons have reached Ukraine. Russia is effed.
14
@sinoroman The US has defended Europe from the USSR and now Russia for decades. It has been mutually beneficial. Why did Sweden and Finland apply to join NATO? Surely, you cannot claim they were coerced by the US?
6
@sinoroman Russia has minimal industry and key sectors of the economy are already falling apart under the sanctions. You are confusing small tactical gains versus a huge strategic defeat. You should be terrified. Soon Putin will not even be able to pay you one ruble per post.
5
@mojnmojn $100 million was allocated towards that training recently. But it's quite probable the training has been underway for some time.

Appeasement leads to more aggression by the aggressor. Your advice is not wisdom, it's foolishness.

@kubabadach8581 I think you must be replying to someone else. Re-read my post and check if your reply is to me or your understanding of my post. I agree with what you have written.

@kubabadach8581 Kosovo is an independent country now. Serbs just need to let go of the past. On the one hand, they argue Russians in Ukraine should be independent. But on the other hand the 90% majority of Kosovo should be a part of Serbia. The hypocrisy is astounding. If they had treated Kosovars better there would have been no conflict, so they only have themselves to blame.
2
@DoctorM42 Agreed. Power is everything to them.
2
@Matt-yg8ub Absolute nonsense. Russia has no intention of leaving. Hence the bogus referenda designed to annex territory they have occupied. Russia can leave tomorrow and sanctions would be eased.
1
@Matt-yg8ub Anything is possible with Russia except strategic nous. Russia was naive enough to believe it could capture Kiev quickly and decapitate the Ukrainian government. It was also naive enough to not foresee that a full scale invasion of Ukraine would be perceived as an existential threat by many EU/NATO countries and that it would result in Europe uniting against Russia. It was naive enough to not foresee Sweden and Finland joining NATO. I don't think you have grasped the situation fully. Putin has fallen into a trap that he created. Now the US and their NATO allies can field test every weapons system they have while at the same time bleeding the Russian military to a slow, torturous death. This is a US wet dream come true. A proxy war against Russia with a very willing and capable military doing the US' bidding. Putin and whoever else is doing the strategic thinking in Russia must be dumber than a bag of rocks.
1
@kubabadach8581 No problem. I figured it was just a misunderstanding. I agree with your thoughts on this matter 100%. Keep posting. Every little bit helps to fight Russian aggression and their propaganda war.

It's hard to build an empire when you're broke.
1
@sinoroman Russian borders have been secure since the signing of the Budapest Memorandum. Russia is the aggressor and you are a disgusting individual to support their atrocities.
1
@j.b.3502 Russia broke the Budapest Memorandum. Donbass is a part of Ukraine. The FSB orchestrated the conflict there. Russia is the aggressor and you support their war crimes. There is nothing to debate.
1
@j.b.3502 Ridiculous comment and completely false. Russia signed the NATO-RUSSIA Foundation Act and in it agreed that NATO and Russia did not consider each other as enemies. There is no mention in those documents that Russia has any objections to Ukraine or any other countries joining NATO. If Russia had any such objection they could have raised it then and insisted it become a part of the agreement. You are a liar and a supporter of Russian war crimes.

@perra5910 Delusional. Russia GDP per annum in 2013 was $US2.2 trillion. After sanctions it dropped to $US 1.5 by 2021. Those sanctions were very mild compared to what is happening now. Soon, according to forecasts by Russian banks, GDP will drop a further 15% followed by a slow decline for the next 10 years. NATO/US allies GDP is around $US50 trillion annually. Russias economy and military depend on Western technology they can no longer get as a part of the sanctions. So Russia's economy is likely to fare far worse than even those projections. Having resources does not make a country wealthy, if your are in any doubt, just have a look at the economies of two resource rich countries as an example: Venezuela and Congo. The Russian Federation is going to collapse and disintegrate just as the USSR did before it. It is now inevitable. But you believe what you want, whatever makes you feel better. I will enjoy watching Russia collapse and will have champagne on ice for the day that shithole country is finally flushed down the toilet.

@snowsnow4231 If the risk of dealing with the dollar is so great as you claim, then why do dictators such as Putin and others around the world stash there money and assets in the West? Why do all the Russian oligarchs have their wealth, their homes and their luxury yachts stashed in the West? Answer: they know that's the safest place to keep their assets. If you love Russia so much, convert your hard currency into rubles and go and live there. Don't be a hypocrite and preach one thing while you do something completely different.
1
@sinoroman Russia is pulling the strings of gullible people like you. Russia cannot withstand the sanctions that are in place. Their collapse is inevitable and they will take their supporters down with the sinking ship.
1
@snowsnow4231 You are obviously a paid Russian troll. You don't even have the freedom to say that the invasion of Ukraine is a war. It may land you in jail for up to 15 years. So how can there be free and fair elections? Why is Navalny in jail? How many political assassinations has Putin arranged? You don't even have the basic concept of what democracy is. You are a brainwashed stooge. Putin is a dictator and yes, he and the oligarchs keep hundreds of billions of dollars in the West. How did a public servant like Putin come to control all this money? Corruption. Stealing it from the Russian people, like you. Support him and his war crimes. But don't cry when it all comes crashing down. Your comment proves that all the smart Russians have left already. Along with the demographic catastrophe Russia faces, it now has the biggest brain drain in the world. Enjoy your decline. It will be a joy to watch Russia sink into the abyss and people like you suffer from the massive drop in your standard of living until finally the Russian Federation collapses. I will drink to your misery.
1
Excellent post. Putin has instigated the beginning of the end of the Russian Federation. It is inevitable now. Especially if Russia cuts off the gas to Europe. After that, there's no turning back for anyone in this conflict. Europe will want nothing to do with Russia for generations to come. I think we're well past the point of no return.
1
@sinoroman There are far more Nazi's in Russia than there ever were in Ukraine. Based of Putin's actions he is as bad as any nazi.
1
@DoctorM42 It's only clever in the short-term. In the long run it will significantly exacerbate the demographic crisis that Russia faces over the coming years. Those far flung regions will be far weaker due to the lack of men of military age and become practically indefensible. China will be rubbing its hands with glee.
