Different religions will have different demands from the government. If you're going to go down this path you need to do two things first. 1. Establish the existence of God as a matter of fact. 2. Determine which religion is worshipping the real God and which are false. It would seem much easier to proceed on the basis that there is no God, as there's simply a lack of evidence. And even if there is a God, we don't know which one is the real one. My suggestion would be to keep religion out of the law entirely.

Why don't the Democrats spring their own October surprise?

@mikegoetz3184 Has it occurred to you that governments enter into contracts? If they did so with this company they would have been required to honor the contract regardless of how many staff were coming into work. Would it also amaze you to discover they continued paying rent on the offices they leased? Even with no employees coming into the office.

Something is definitely off about Trump's support of Putin. Kompromat?

Spot on.

@mikegoetz3184 I don't know if that's worth it or not. But aid and cultural exchange has always been used to help the donor country gain influence. It's why France, the UK, China etc all spend money all over the world by having cultural centers and libraries etc. The US can choose to save that money. I really don't care. But they will also lose influence as a result. These strategies have been used by Republican administrations for decades. They did not regard them as a waste of money. Just keep in mind the fact that Trump communicates at the level of a twelve year old because he also thinks at that level. Trump's bullying tactics against Mexico and Canada have destroyed US credibility as a reliable trade or military partner. It's safe to say he's not a long term strategist. His latest foray into Middle East politics in Gaza is a perfect example. He's probably alienated every country other than Israel. Bibi can't believe his luck at having found such a shmuck to do his dirty work.

@mikegoetz3184 You in America DO want the fentanyl. If there wasn't so much demand for drugs in America there would be very little supply coming into the country. Stop blaming others for problems of your own creation. Get your own house in order before criticizing others.

If this happens will the US no longer have a Department of Defence? When Canada decides to annex the US will Congress be tasked with hiring soldiers, training them and organizing the war effort?

@JamesMorris-l8b You should take your own advice. Trump broke the law in New York. It's not up to you to determine their laws

Japan, Canada, China and the EU should coordinate their activities and all dump US bonds at the same time.

You haven't made a valid point yet. So yes, you do need to go on. Nation states try to exercise influence and soft power through these kinds of programs. Previous Republican administrations all did it, including the previous Trump government. What you seem to be arguing for is to weaken the US internationally. These actions, along with the tariff bluffs, are turning the US from the most respected nation in the world into an international pariah. Other countries can no longer trust the US to uphold their economic or military agreements. Short-term, low IQ thinking seems to be a speciality of Trump and his supporters.
2
The US deserves Trump. The rest of the world definitely doesn't.

Why would Trump want to destroy a system in which he is a billionaire? Why didn't he do it when he was President last time? Trump is in it for himself. His backers, who are also billionaires, are also in it for themselves.
1
When the billionaires own 95% of the media and spew propaganda 24/7 how is it possible to have fair elections? There seems little difference between the US and Russia. Both are run by and for their respective oligarchs. The illusion of democracy has been shattered. Elections will continue to be held but the Democrats will never win again. Project 2025 will ensure that. Trump has absolute power. There are no checks and balances that can constrain him in any way. This is going to end badly.

That's not how it works.
1
@tunneloflight That will be extremely difficult to prove. It won't happen.
1
@tunneloflight I expect similar. But there's always the concern that one juror won't convict. For all the speculation about the jurors in the media, I think no one has a clue what they're thinking.
1
@smkh2890 Why did it not need an audit during Trump's previous term? Have you seen the programs with your own eyes or just willing to believe whatever lies Trump and Musk tell you?
1
@mikegoetz3184 He's lucky that a fair share of your population is at the eleven year old level. Tell me about the wall he promised to build and Mexico was going to pay for. He got that done, right? Why didn't he stop the fentanyl then? Buddy he's all talk. All show and no go as they say. With Trump it's one brain fart after another. There's clearly something not quite right with him. The Gaza brain fart is a perfect example. Don't tell me you support that? Is there anything he ever gets wrong?
1
@mikegoetz3184 No. I'm witnessing the beginning of the end of the US. Once the rule of law and the constitution go out the window, it's the beginning of the end. A 34 times convicted felon and serial liar is not going to make things better. Get out of the cult and start thinking for yourself.

@josephdealoia5165 Yes they do.
