As the US is obviously no longer a reliable military ally their nuclear umbrella is now worthless. Several nations will likely acquire nuclear weapons in the next 2-3 years. I'm thinking Japan, South Korea, possibly Taiwan, Sweden, Finland, Poland just for starters.

@jasonmcclatchie6877 China is already the dominant supplier of almost all processed minerals and they buy them from everywhere. They don't need Ukraine's minerals.

@erueru2014 Sure, a monopoly would be nice to have but it's not a necessity. Europe would be well advised to keep China out of Europe. No good will come of it. The EU needs to step in and make a deal with Ukraine.

Not just Europe. Asian allies like Japan, South Korea and Australia have a lot of thinking to do. Trump has proven he will not honour any agreements. And will gladly exploit every opportunity to extort a nation in difficulty. He and Vance were like vultures yesterday.
