@account-369 That is not true. Also, the Russians living there had no problem until the Russian military and FSB organised their invasion. Igor Girkin Strelkov already admitted it in tv interviews. Don't be a hypocrite. Give up Serbian claims to Kosovo immediately.

@pajsor You are extremely biased. Serbs massacred tens of thousands of people on Former Yugoslavia. Do you remember the massacre at Srebrenica and the siege of Sarajevo and the "ethnic cleansing" that they engaged in. Serbs were perpetrating genocide for years before Belgrade got bombed. So stop your selective recollection of that war. As for Iraq, the US and its coalition of the willing only invaded after UN Security Council Resolution 1441, which was the final chance for Saddam Hussein to comply with 10 previous UN Security Council Resolutions. Those resolutions included chemical, biological weapons and the Iraqi government in its reports to the UN admitted possessing both chemical weapons and nerve agents. So even though no nukes were found, the basis of the invasion was justified. Stop telling a selective version of history and go back and learn the facts. If NATO is so evil, then how come everybody wants to join them? Think Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Hungary, Czech, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria etc. Are they all evil? If the Western world is so evil, why do migrants, refugees, etc all want to go there?

@pajsor The fact remains that the only way to stop the Serbian war machine was for those bombs to drop or the wars would have gone on. It is disingenuous to say that not one of the people who died in the bombings was responsible for Srebrenica or Sarajevo. What was left of former Yugoslavia was responsible as a whole. And the actual men who killed 8000 civilians at Srebrenica remain free to this day because courts in Serbia and the rump Srpska republics refuse to bring them to trial. This is tacit approval of their actions. I also saw on the news tens of thousands of Serbs marching in Belgrade in support of Russia. It shows that many there have not learnt any lessons from the past and are unrepentant about Serbian war crimes.

Russia would need a Marshall Plan for that to happen. Not likely in my opinion. More likely is that in 20 years hydrocarbons will be close to worthless and Russian population will be in severe decline. I expect Russia will naturally break apart just like the USSR.

@account-369 Another twisting of history. The referendum after Ukraine became independent voted to be a part of Ukraine. You cannot invade a country, drive out millions of their people, then claim an unfair 'election' is somehow valid. You need a new user name. Just replace superb with stupid and you will have the perfect moniker.

@dennis3351 Rubbish. Russia invaded Ukraine with Putin's little green men. Igor Girkin has already admitted it in tv interviews. He said there was no support from local Russian speakers. But the GRU, FSB and the little green men forced them into it. You can google the interview. Ukraine has every right to defend it's sovereignty. The Russian invaders led by the war criminal Putin started all this.

@milicastanar9654 At Srebrenica, at least several hundred soldiers were involved in the actual shooting of the 8,000 men. How many have faced trial and been convicted? Zero. They are all war criminals. Your claim is false. If it were true, all of those soldiers would have been convicted of war crimes and their identities are well known as they were serving members of the Yugoslav army who acted on orders given by general Mladic. The rest of your comment is whataboutism and an unwillingness to take responsibility. Serbia was the aggressor, just as Russia is today in Ukraine. Your people wanted a "greater Serbia", much like Putin wants Novorussiya. Both were prepared to kill as many of their neighbours as required to achieve their objectives. Both play the victim card and try to blame their victims for the wars. How I wish Serbs would stop this victim mentality and face the true horror of what they did. Russia too must stop it's aggression and learn to get along with its neighbours.
