  2. You really think the US is waiting until China launches an invasion to make a plan for their response? I think this is highly implausible. The US already have multiple plans of action ready to go. Also, do you really think that China could catch the US and Taiwan by surprise? Chinas massive ship and troop build up will be as obvious as Russia's lead up to the invasion of Ukraine. An amphibious assualt across 130 km of ocean will be possibly the most complex and difficult military operation in human history and China has practically zero experience in this type of warfare. If China tries it, I would bet it goes far worse for them than it has for the Russians in Ukraine. If the US starts shooting at Chinese ships and targets Chinese mainland military and industrial infrastructure, it will be the end of China. There is no conceivable way China could win such a war.

  4. Most reputable companies who deal with imports from China and other third world countries try to ensure they are not sourcing goods made by child laborers and slaves. They go to considerable lengths to verify their supply chains and the CEO and board of Directors are ultimately accountable. Can't we pass laws that require the Chip manufacturers have to verify the final destination of their products? Hold the CEO and Directors legally responsible and liable for damages. I have little doubt they would vet their buyers very carefully. We already do similar with dangerous chemicals and biological items.

  5.  @alispeed5095  You implement a very strict system that makes it hard for the criminals to get their hands on chips. Try getting your hands on some anthrax or other deadly substance and see if they will sell it to you. You will be thoroughly vetted and your application rejected because there are protocols in place. The political will is what's sorely needed.
