  2. India has a lot going for it but it also has a few things going against it. Corruption is off the charts and it's practiced at all levels of society and the economy. Although it it self sufficient in food production, in future water scarcity could change that situation. The current government is doing a great job of alienating minorities that make up a significant portion of Indias population. This will have negative effects in the medium to long term. The West had best not rely on India for anyrhing.
