  1. There is no way in the world that these critical resources can be left to China and Russia to process. So inevitably it will be done somewhere that is friendly to the US and other Western powers. I can see some of this playing out already with lithium and rare earth elements now being processed in Australia. Previously, they would have all been shipped to China for processing. Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Argentina and Chile also spring to mind as potential alternatives.
