@robc8468 India cannot be a reliable partner with Western countries because of their very close political support of Russia. If you're going to invest in a new manufacturing facility, it would make sense to build it in the US or as close to the US as possible in a country that is an ally of the US. India is not in contention. Mexico is an obvious alternative.

@bighands69 India already had a supply of oil. They support Russia and do not give a flying fuck about the war crimes Russia is committing. Their support of Russia is their choice. But they can never be a reliable partner with the West. Any Western company building their manufacturing facilities there is asking for trouble.
