  1. No-one wants the yuan or ruble or rupee. They want US$. Saudi Arabia will always preference the US because that is the only country in the world that can defend them in a war against Iraq. The US proved it's value in both Gulf wars. Where were China and Russia then? The lesson here is that if you want to be the world's reserve currency, you must first be a global superpower. Until then you can dream all you like, but Saudi Arabia is going to remain with the US.
