  1. Most of the deposits that are discovered will never become mines as they will not be economically viable. You need high grade, low extraction cost and comparitively low capital cost before you can build a mine.

  2.  @jgw9990  Inferior in what way? It's obvious the we have to switch away from ICE vehicles eventually. Even if you're a climate change denier you can't deny the fact that there is a finite amount of oil.

  3.  @jgw9990  The countries that made a commitment to it and adopted early seem to be doing fine. Have a look at the Scandinavian countries as an example.
