No mention in any agreement that: A) NATO and Russia are enemies B) That any nation is restricted from joining NATO Also, Russia already had NATO on its borders before invading Ukraine and now they have a 1300 km border with NATO in Finland. No-one was threatening Russia. Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, the collective West invested tens of billions of dollars and used their technical know-how to rebuild much of the Russian energy system that collapsed along with the USSR. It then purchased $300 billion per year on those energy exports significantly increasing Russia's wealth. Ukraine's application for NATO was rejected. These are not acts of hostility towards Russia. No-one in their right mind was ever going to attack a nation with 6000 nukes. This is pure Russian imperialism at play. Stop trying to place the blame elsewhere.
