@mintheman7 China's current relative prosperity exists because of Globalisation. They have been the largest beneficiary of the global order over the past 30 years. The US base in Okinawa has been there the entire time and there has been no threat to China. That ended with Xi Jinping starting his wolf warrior strategy and the harrassment of China's neighbours. If I was running China, I would have done everything in my power to maintain the status quo and ensure China became richer. That's what I would expect China to do. How is their hostility working out?
