+RaphaelLee Peters Please Stop this Veneno Bull Shit. - The Veneno is not on par with the 918. The Veneno is first of all an exterior style study by Lamborghini and it sits on the Aventador platform in a tuned version. Secondary the Veneno is not a production car since only 3 has been made + the "J" of which sadly only one has been made. Furthermore the Veneno was brought to the Geneva Auto show in 2013 mainly because Lamborghini had nothing new to show (The Aventador was already in Production and the Huracan was not ready yet). Lamborghini simply had to bring something that year since Ferrari brought the LaFerrari, Porsche the 918 and McLaren the P1 - All 3 models, Hybrid based prodution cars developed from the ground up. And in a slightly different segment even BMW was brining their i8 Sports Hybrid. To be harsh - The Veneno was not much more than a show off stunt. There is a world of difference between making an exterior style study on a already exsisiting platform to making a brand new car that will go into production. Have you ever seen any of the Venenos really perform on track and being tested by various Auto Journalist ? - No it has not happened because it was never the intention. Production Units: Veneno = 3 918 = 918 LaFerrari 499 P1 = 375 The Veneno will never be anything else than a style study - All the real lightweight and wind development was made with the Sesto Elemente and that car exists in 20 Models. You can have that spaceship Veneno poster hanging over the bed - it fits perfectly since it is more a dream than anything else, but please stop brining it up in Auto debates unless it is about design, styling or concept cars - It is simply not valid in any other comparison.

eli silva I love Lamborghini´s - but in the case of the Veneno it is rather flawed in any other subject than for exterior design study. There is nothing new under the hood of the Veneno other than a tuned Aventador Powerplant. (which is mighty great) but no substancial technological advancement had been achieved with the Veneno. It is a style study and was used as a showcase rescue Project - a Future car as such it is not. We will very likely see some advanced technology for the Urus but that has yet to be revealed. If you read my comment you would understand what i mean by "not being on par" - but you just rush to the conclusion that I am a Porsche Fan, which is not the case. I am a car fan and Lamborghini´s are nut case cool - Just not the Veneno for the already mentioned reasons. In regard to Porsche Design and properly cars in general you apparently also know nothing about DNA in design since you just slam the usual " I cant see difference for shit" argument followed by the usual faster than something numbers. If you want to go fast you can update an Aventador with Twin Turbos or do the same to a Huracan and it will fucking fly - but if you go into this kind of "My Dick is bigger than yours" argument we just end up by being steroid stupid and that still has nothing to do with the Veneno being on Par with the 918. One car is build in 918 examples on a brand new platform while the other has been build in 3 examples based on a existing platform. And the Veneno has never starred in a series of official Video reviews by car journalist now has it?. So we do not know exactly what it is can do around a track or otherwise. If you have a link then please do share it. The Huracan ont eh other hand is an extremely cool and very fast Lamborghini and a more than a worthy follower to the Gallardo (Which by the way was in production for about 10 years and a good example partly on the reasons why new Lamborghini model looks much more exciting and "new" than a moderate update from e.g a 911 Series). A Lamborghini should by default understanding of each automakers DNA be more exciting to look at than a Porsche in any case.

+Alfa Won Sorry I but would it not be easy to point put a lot of cars that in design terms for proportions, stance etc. would look very ugly beside this new Alfa - at least in my eyes that would be an easy task. Now it might be far from the most elegant or beautiful Alfa ever created, but I still applaud it - It is a good direction for the Alfa brand to up the sportiness in several segment and the 4C is great too.

@hharyych – I cant agree with you on that headlight comment - In fact till these latest generations the MB headlamps had a rather crunky shape and I found it awful, was not cool as BMW´s headlamps or neither clear and clean as AUDI´s – This new headlamp shape is clean and dynamic and does not fuzz around trying to do more than it should – I think its about be base shape that MB has come with for along time. But styling is difficult to discuss.

In fact you should hope that they do something on the EV scene, else they might very well become obsolete in about ±15 years time. At least this concept looked quite amazing. The about only thing that really can change the game will be something like Algae based fuel, which would make it possible to keep some combustion engines alive.

You might as well have said that a Beer Bottle looks like a Coca Cola bottle – Anybody knowing about bottle design and/or bottle manufactoring would tell you that resemblance is far from obvious and that you perhaps should go to Design School or learn how to produce bottles before uttering your obvious incompetence on the subject.

Perhaps consider how you apply your opinion of Car design, since if you are not without knowledge on the subject you certainly can do better – There is a huge amount of comments with similar construct as your initial comment – Looks like this or looks like that. Most of the time people who comment like that have absolutely no clue about basic automotive design terms and terminology. That way the discussion lacks any ground for being fruitful, constructive or to pass on some valid points or information for the benefit of all car fans and car producers.

Looks absolutely fantastic!, the whole shape and the details are spot on heritage+futurism in the right amount!. If this inspires the next gen SLS then yes please go ahead. The only miss is the Logo on the front – LED or metal please, no big ticker.

I agree, it´s well designed, has a great stance and very short overhangs and I do like the fact that have gone for a smaller car with more focus on sport. Secondary the dynamic curves and leaning towards slightly rounded minimalism is pointing well into the future - look at the latest EV concepts and its obvious that AM knows what is happening on exterior development of modern cars. The hidden mirror lights are great and so is the duck tail. I´m not so keen on these plates around the exhaust pipes - I get it! ...a bit of rawness, but it appears as a half way solution. The interior is good, but it´s not fantastic either - these slightly inward crunching lines - like on the air vents, are not really elegant nor are they super sporty. I do though like those buttons to the steering wheel - well shaped - but overall I think that the interior can be enhanced within a few updates - There is a lot of new stuff happening with interiors due to among other things EV development, which challenges classic interior layouts.

Great! Not another Veneno - I put my doubts to sleep completely for this introduction - 20 of each model is fair, not presenting it as the future of Lamborghini.. good. It´s looks freaking funky and awesome I am especially amazed about the front, that is a beautiful balance between aggression and functionality. The rear is lovely mad and even the car being radical it keeps a slim elegance and pointy flow.

After looking at the official images yesterday and today I am completely sold for this new design and I was not a big fan of the Veyron style wise - it nearly always looked clumsy on images - The Chiron does not suffer from that minor flaw to say it mildly. They have managed to conceptualize it perfectly with the big C, the added rear end gives it so much more elegance, it almost becomes more of a Coupe Design this way and adds more luxury and stand out from the the other mid engined supercars. Also I do love that crease going from inside the intakes and continued on the outside towards the back. That interior had not happened if a certain Mr. Pagani has not shown the way to über exclusiveness in interior design years ago, never the less it is still it´s very own and gorgeous. Another very important change is the lights - No more round lamps - That is a good thing IMO, since they can be very difficult to integrate - just think about how e.g. Bentley have struggled getting it with the round lamps on certain models. No it is just waiting time to see it in action....:D

The ZOE looked good from the very beginning - A neat, charming and dynamic design for a small EV car. This certainly looks cool for a small EV, think most will agree.

No I would not buy it (even if I had the Money). The reason is simply that it´s box layout is, despite all the aero carnage, very dull, heavy and stiff - The dynamic base shape/profile is simply not very pleasing nor exciting for a supercar. To be specific: the mid section has no dynamics, it looks like a well trained person with no curve dynamics - same width size over the breast as near the kidneys. No matter what is designed - if the foundation, the base, the core is not right, then whatever effects added will not make it better. This feels like it trying to hard to be hard for the sake of being hard. One can wonder what the catch is, what is the idea behind it, where is the spirit that has driven its creation. So no I would not buy it - there is plenty of other options for that kind of money. Even if one want something very special or crazy, simply take a Supercar and go to a well established tuner team and create your mad dream or call Mr. Koenigsegg, Mr. Pagani or any of the top car creators and make them create a one of a kind for you. I actually wonder how Italdesign of all, went a long with this. They have created some extreme beauties, but sorry this is not one of them.

A comet has most visual weight at the front usually... (in the classic symbolic understanding of a comet that is) "Head followed by tail" - This is the absolute opposite; Long front and Head/Body pushed far back, short tail section. So either way it is not the right words to describe how your impression of it is - if you mean that it looks fast, then yes - A comet is fast and so was many TVR´s - they where Mad and Fast.

I must unfortunately agree – wheel overhangs appear huge at least on footage which lessens the stance.

Not many can Tune to this level in series for the bodywork – their style is simply extreme but still so maintained, color combinations are always special – Nobody will mistake an N-Largo for just another sportscar because they always stand out no matter the model, and this is certainly no exception.

I am a BMW fan but some first look impressions I do not fancy about this new Z4: Large Front Wheel overhangs – A sad direction for many modern cars but in particular for BMW that always had great stances and very short front wheel overhangs. Headlamps: Cut-off eyelids – a very uncommon design for the BMW DNA and a far less aggressive look – And may I say they are way too large and send reminders back to the period where all the big car models were scaled down to the smaller models resulting in small cars with way too large headlamps – with Pegeout and Small entry Mercedes as the worst examples. Suppression over the rear wheel arches – could be much worse but the lead to the sexy rear end has become rather large, bulky and unmasculine affair, resulting in far less elegance. Oval Doorhandle cup: Ohh No! don´t do this and why? - Must be a more elegant solution to a door handle in 2018. Perhaps it is the camera, but the overall profile is slightly on the fat side – on the other hand, this new Z4 appears to be fairly compact which I would regard as a plus. All details look great, rims are great looking, color, interior etc. I do also like the sculpting of the front parts, grill and fenders deeply cut. But yea well not immensely overwhelmed by the first impression looks of this new Z4 – I see forward to view this in the flesh and hope it is one of those cars that looks much better in real. Right now I can´t help thinking about some of the failed Mercedes cars in the same class, appearing like sport but not really taking the full step to be sport and lands somewhere in the middle. – A neighbor has a black well equipped and well kept Z4 former generation and that is far sexier than this in my eyes. Finally, the new Supra is coming alive due to the Tuners – makes a huge difference to the appearance. Was really not convinced about it since the initial Concept was so good looking and the final car had a slightly compromised stance and a somewhat chunky look without appearing really strong. I do not see it this way anymore – even Totyotas own polished aluminium version looks awesome. Does anybody know what tuners are getting out of the engine?.

There are no A sides in the interior of an i3 – it is all B sides (surfaces) due to the environmental considerations and solutions initially developed for the i3. The summary of the study used to develop the interior materials and solutions cover more than 80 pages and has been used in at least University in Germany. Somehow even the latest Lagonda concept is trying out natural materials to replace leather while keeping a luxury feel. On the good side it seams that most new EV´s do in fact drive well, enough that it gets mentioned by the Journalists driving them, of which most are pretty spoiled. ;)

Happy you mentioned that it was not the purpose to create a beautiful car - since impressive at it is - its certainly not exactly beautiful. I can´t get my eyes of the front wheel overhangs - particular visible in side profile view - they are huge, the nose is so far in front of the front wheels and I wonder if anybody could explain the advantageous purpose of that other than having more aero surface to work with, will such a large overhang not affect the steering agility or how ?. On the Shmee footage the one image from 3/4 high front the car looked pretty mean around the A pillar to front, but it seams like the car does not follow any particular design theme - front is sharp and slightly angular while the profile is more curved articulated over the rear wheels and then weirdly having a very linear rear end. The P1 is has much more beauty to the eye even being a radical hyper car. The window feature is though pretty cool and perhaps this is just one of those cars that looks much better in reality than on footage - it would not be the first. Well properly the numbers will demise the looks of the Senna and I´m seeing forward to that "23" project hyper GT - that indeeds sounds interesting.

Could do without the 5000 HP sticker on the front - Looks like the graphic designer did not know how to exclude the background in the "Textbox". Other than that - well lets see when it finally drives - surely there is quite a way to go yet with that interior and particular the Steering appears to have no motoring heritage. The new one looks much better than the first concept - If it ever drives then it would be mega at e.g Gumball....

Urus 100%, the Bentayga is one ugly car – But the Range Rover Velar is in my eye the best looking SUV at the moment, but naturally, it can´t match the two other mentioned for performance, If it could then I would take the Velar. I am most impressed by the Interior in the Urus – they have gone a long way with many details and solutions and it makes it special.

"Abt solutely" everywhere. Very Great Exterior design package from Abt. The car could have even more power (620-680ish) in my opinion, since it seems so stable at high speed. Thanks for looking in the back mirror at around 230 Km/t – on the Autobahn there might always come something faster.

I like the design a lot always have – But a power update would be adequate particular with this Schnitzer tuning and also in comparison to the latest EV´s coming to market.
