Sorry but I just can´t figure this one out. Several questions to follow??? It´s a very fast time indeed but there is even faster cars for top speed. But under which conditions is this record made?. I mean what kind of regulations apply for making a world record?. This is a tuned car so is there any limitations to what you can do? and if so what are these?. People in this thread keep mentioning the ("Hennesey" I guess) Ford GT with a much higher top speed also on a "Texas" Mile. Are those two records set under the same conditions or what?. Where is the line between any dragster category race car or a tuner that runs racefuel, Nitro, slicks etc.?. For Guinness World Records is it no so that the car have to make two runs within and hour and the runs have to be executed driving in each direction of the track - And then the average speed of the runs will be the Record Time. (Pls. correct me if I´m totally wrong). Veyron applied to this and so did the SCC as far as I recall. So if someone really knows about the setup and conditions for these records please take the time to explain. Thank You. And to those who bash on the Veyron it´s kind of stupid since it is not a 1 off tuned car and many tuners will be "quicker" and even faster than the Veyron SS, but they will not come in +300 cars series production - It´s not really comparable.
