Hopefully someone will turn the tide and make light EVs – someone already did something and in comparison the now old BMW i3 weighs in between 1300-1400 kg – sad they were a bit too early on the game and that the HQ did not really buy into it at the time. That said, the new AUDI designs look amazingly good, but the weight that keeps rising is nuts and indeed counterproductive to the world at large – heavy cars be it ICE, Hybrid or EV will still use more energy than a comparable lighter car.
