Not a MB fan, but the new version looks a lot better and I was quite turned off by the headlamps of many Mercedes models the last decade, but not this one, they look great. A bit sad about the exhaust but it is to be expected from nearly all manufacturers. And the interior is miles better – those seats look awesome. The price tag for luxury hot hatches are though steamrolling and I wonder about a market like the USA and the newly released Corvette in comparison (not that I like it a lot) but getting mid-engine "supercar" instead is getting really close option – sure you cant take the kids with you which was always the proposition of the hot hatch. Good for Mercedes that their fan base is so strong as it is, so it properly will not matter much overall. If you live in the USA and had the choice of this new AMG A45s or the new Corvette (entry-level 60K USD) what would choose?.
