  1. Its a fair question - Someone inside VAG must have approved it for some reason, perhaps some market research revealed that there is space for the Arteon. Remember the older CC coupe - which I believe actually sold pretty well (Don´t have the numbers though) - I think the Arteon is a kind of come back from that car. And for those who love AUDI I´m guessing they will not go for the Arteon unless they need a bit more space - All those I know who are in fact AUDI fans and owners, and that goes through several ages, are very dedicated towards the brand - They love the service offers and the whole brand aura and the practicality as well. I´m not a Audi fan but I do get it for those I know. Most likely they will not change to VW because AUDI do offer the whole segment range with lots of opportunities - so wether one want to upscale or downscale its possible while staying with the brand. An well VW did actually miss out on a offer in the large Coupe Segment so for that it does make sense.
