Thorium Reactors would be the near perfect local energy backup system and had those running the businesses at the time of Thorium Reactors continued the development we would have had no major energy supply problems today, and far less earth disruption in relations to energy creation. But there was little business to be made with Thorium being available all over the world and so it did not evolve. Over and over the better energy solutions has be held back and/or buried because of greed, mainly in the fossil fuel industries.
