  2. None of this is news - it’s been like that for a very long time. Unregulated capitalism can go no other way than into a big divide, unless a independent US state chooses to do things differently. The American dream is just a dream, and we have been sold part of that dream in Europe too. A good life does not start with economic and materialistic abundance - if it did then even very rich people would have no reasons to divorce or have all sorts of other life problems either. A large part of the dream sold to us since the industrial revolution is not sustainable, neither for the individual nor for the world as a whole. The USA is currently and blatantly showing its worst sides, or the other side of the coin. The USA has been hugely indoctrinated for generations, and it all fits into a pattern that mainly supports the already wealthy over raising or changing any living standards for the common majority of the American people. Some things are best run for the open market while other things need to be run by the state. America has apparently not awaken to these imbalances yet. Let’s hope it does soon.
