The solution is easy, offer something comparable or better and people will want to join Russia - as long as that is not the case, people will opt for western democracy systems - it’s not perfect, but it’s way way better than authoritarian systems. If Russia did not have nuclear weapons, we would not have this debate. If Putin was a visionary Russia would be on its way to new glory and heighten living standards with continuous economic growth, instead we got war, fear and chaos, and the brutality of the Russian military lacking any other solutions than scorched earth tactics. It’s no wonder that Finland and Sweden are considering to join Nato. I would prefer the neutral buffers countries, but Putin brought this on himself.
