  1. He hit the nail on the head with this one, but Portugal should also be on this list. Not only was Portugal the pioneers of the trans atlantic slave trade, but they enslaved more Africans than any European country, and they were also the last European country to abolish slavery. Portugal should not get a pass. It is an extremely racist country.

  3. As an African American, I enjoy visiting Mexico everytime I go there. I have never felt uncomfortable. I understand colonized society. I especially understand the anti-blackness that exists in Spanish colonies. I love Mexico. I love the food, the people and the culture. I find that if you respect Mexicans, they will respect you.

  4. With 54 African countries and a number of Caribbean countries that are black nations, can we not find any universities in these countries? Is Europe our only option? They have a very bad human rights record when it comes to black people. Something has to change.

  5. If you ask me, Argentina is no difference from any other Spanish colony. African Americans complain about racism in the US, but they have no idea what it's like for black people in Portuguese and Spanish colonies. The US has its problems, but I'll take being black in the US over being black in places like Brasil, Argentina, Cuba, Puerto Rico or the Dominican Republic.

  6. We black people have to improve conditions in black countries so we don't have go to countries where they don't want us. Europeans will never treat Africans fairly. The sooner we realize that, the better off we will be. It's time to wake up. There 54 African countries and a host of majority black countries in the Caribbean. Let's stop being humiliated in Europe.

  9. Whenever I speak on this, mostly African Americans, not Portuguese, usually have so unkind words for me. I lived there, and I found the people still extremely racist. They did not invent slavery, but they took the most slaves and they enslaved them for a longer period of time. More than 400 years.

  10. The Portuguese took the most Africans and enslaved them longer than any other European country. Portugal is also a very racist country. African Americans are moving there, but they have no idea how much pain the Portuguese have brought to black people. Institutionalize racism is prevalent in Portugal as well. They were the pioneers of the Trans Atlantic slave trade, so that's no surprise.

  13. Of the Arab world, I've only been to Morocco. That was enough for me. I know the history that the Arab world has in Africa. The castration of African him and centuries of slavery. They pretend to love Allah, but if they did, they would to treat their African brothers like this. As a black person, I avoid Arab countries at all cost.

  20. India prefer the people who oppressed and colonized them for centuries. I personally have never had a negative experience with Indians, but I've heard enough stories to know that I have no desire to visit the country. I don't have to go to Russia to know that it's a racist country. Some African Americans love Morocco, but I felt the racism and was called the " n" word by a hotel employee. I will never go back there. Black American women held a summit there months after they killed a group of black men. Israel would never be on my list of places to visit. Their history tells me all I need to know. Italy is no different than any other European country. Italy is racist and hostile towards black people. This won't stop black people from going there. Most don't care. I don't know what to say about the self-hating Dominicans. They identify with Spain. They will never change.

  22. That happens a lot in Europe. I don't care how much African Americans flock to Europe, it is a continent full of hate and racism. Portugal is no exception. I hear African Americans explaining racism away. They are so desperate to be there, that they'd rather deny what their eyes are seeing. Italy is also extremely racist. I lived in Europe for some years and I have no desire to return.

Or is it like Portugal, which has lots of black people, but in low positions. Scotland? This has got to be joking. There is no embracing of black culture, I can assure you. Did he say Poland?
